Business Email Security

Business email security that stops phishing before it reaches your team

Email is one of the most common ways attackers get into a business, through fake invoices, spoofed executives and convincing login pages. We add layers of protection around your inboxes so dangerous messages are caught and quarantined before anyone has to make a judgment call.

Inbox protection
  • Advanced spam, malware and phishing filtering
  • Impersonation and spoofing protection
  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured correctly
  • Warning banners on external email
  • Daily email backup with easy restores

Layered protection

Six layers between your inbox and the attackers

Built-in filtering catches a lot, but determined attackers are designed to slip past it. These extra layers close the gap.

Advanced filtering

Spam, malware and phishing caught with techniques that go beyond basic built-in filters.

Link & attachment scanning

Suspicious links are checked when clicked and risky attachments are analyzed before delivery.

Impersonation protection

Messages pretending to be your executives, vendors or lookalike domains are flagged or blocked.

Domain authentication

SPF, DKIM and DMARC, set to an enforcing policy, let receiving servers reject email that fakes your exact domain.

Account takeover alerts

Unusual sign-ins and new forwarding rules are spotted early, before a compromised mailbox does damage.

Email backup

Mailboxes backed up daily so deleted or encrypted messages can be restored quickly.

Business email compromise

The email scam that costs real money

Business email compromise doesn’t need malware. A fraudster impersonates a supplier, a client or your own CEO and asks for a payment, a gift card purchase or a change to banking details. Because the message looks routine, it’s easy to miss.

We fight these scams on several fronts: filtering that spots impersonation, alerts when a mailbox is compromised and simple verification habits for your finance team. Combined with security awareness training, these steps make fraudulent requests far easier to catch.

  • Lookalike domains and display-name tricks flagged
  • External email clearly labelled
  • Suspicious inbox rules monitored and removed
  • Call-back verification for any banking change
Red flags in a payment requestTeach your team to pause
  • Unusual urgency or secrecy
  • New or changed banking details
  • A reply-to address that doesn’t match
  • A domain that’s one letter off

Frequently asked questions

Doesn’t Microsoft 365 already filter spam?

Yes, Microsoft 365 includes baseline filtering, and we make sure it’s configured well. Advanced protection adds extra layers for impersonation, link checking and attachment analysis that catch more of the targeted attacks small businesses face.

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

They’re email authentication standards. SPF lists which servers can send email for your domain, DKIM adds a digital signature to your messages and DMARC tells receiving servers what to do with email that fails those checks. Together, they make it much harder to spoof your domain.

What should someone do if they click a phishing link?

Contact our helpdesk immediately, even if nothing seems wrong. We’ll reset passwords, check for suspicious sign-ins or mailbox changes and scan the device. Reporting quickly makes a huge difference.

Will filtering block legitimate emails?

Occasionally a genuine message may be quarantined. Users receive a simple digest to release safe emails, and we fine-tune the rules over time so it happens less and less.

Can you recover deleted emails?

Yes. With independent email backup, we can restore individual messages, folders or entire mailboxes, even after they’ve been permanently deleted from Outlook.
