Vulnerability & Risk Assessments

Vulnerability assessments that find your security gaps before attackers do

You can’t fix what you can’t see. Our vulnerability scans and risk assessments examine your network, devices, cloud accounts and policies, then give you a clear, prioritized plan to close the gaps that matter most.

Assessment scope
  • Internal and external vulnerability scanning
  • Microsoft 365 and cloud security review
  • Firewall and remote access configuration checks
  • Backup and recovery readiness review
  • A prioritized report in plain language

Our process

How an assessment works

Thorough, non-disruptive and focused on practical next steps.

  1. 01

    Scope

We agree on what will be tested and when, so scans don’t clash with your busy periods.

  2. 02

    Scan & review

Automated scanning plus hands-on review of your configurations, accounts and policies.

  3. 03

    Prioritize

Findings are ranked by real-world risk and business impact, not just technical severity.

  4. 04

    Report & fix

We walk you through the results, then fix the issues or support your team while they do.

What we examine

A complete look at the areas attackers target most often.

Network & perimeter

Open ports, exposed services, firewall rules and remote access entry points.

Devices & servers

Missing patches, outdated software, weak configurations and unsupported operating systems.

Microsoft 365 & cloud

Sign-in security, sharing settings, admin roles and mailbox rules that attackers abuse.

Identities & access

MFA coverage, stale accounts, shared logins and excessive permissions.

Backups & recovery

Whether backups are complete, protected from ransomware and actually restorable.

Policies & people

Password, onboarding and offboarding practices, plus how your team handles suspicious email.

Clear results

A report you can actually use

A 200-page scan printout isn’t helpful to a business owner. Our reports start with a short executive summary that explains your overall risk in plain language, followed by a prioritized list of issues, why each one matters and exactly how to fix it.

Because we look at your business context, not just raw scan scores, you can focus your time and budget on the changes that genuinely reduce risk.

  • Executive summary for owners and leadership
  • Findings ranked by risk and effort to fix
  • Step-by-step remediation guidance
  • A follow-up scan to confirm fixes worked

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between a vulnerability assessment and a risk assessment?

A vulnerability assessment looks for specific technical weaknesses, such as missing patches or misconfigurations. A risk assessment takes a wider view, weighing those weaknesses against your business, data and processes to decide what matters most. We combine both.

Will scanning disrupt our systems?

Rarely. Scans are carefully configured, fragile devices such as older printers or shop-floor PCs are handled with care, and scans run at times that suit you. Your team can keep working normally throughout the assessment.

How often should we have an assessment?

At least once a year, and after major changes such as an office move, new systems or a merger. Businesses in regulated industries, or those handling sensitive data, benefit from more frequent scanning.

What do we receive at the end?

A written report with an executive summary, a prioritized list of findings and clear remediation steps, plus a meeting to walk through the results and answer your questions.

Can you fix the issues you find?

Yes. We can resolve the findings for you, work alongside your internal IT staff or bring everything under ongoing managed cybersecurity so new gaps are caught early.
